Teens Views on Religion (General Statement)

Teens have many different opinions on religion. Some like to to participate in their faith and the rules and regulations of their faith and then other teens disagree with it. Most teens these days are having a hard time excepting their faith. Most of teens don't really like religion in general and most don't agree with the practices that certain religions entail.Times have changed so much that we have a hard time to try to incorporate faith in our lives as teens. Everything in this century has become more advance in technology like the phones and ipods etc that we get lost in it ands forget our faith and our way of living life as a christian and teens are the main fault for that. Overall teens have many views and opinions on their faith whether they are positive or negative.

  2. i feel that you are right in the perspective that teens get distracted from religion by all of this new technology. teens are blinded by internet ,TV, phones and wha they see in movies. They think life is like the movies and try to live that life out. they feel that the religion life is boring and not fun.

  3. Teenagers have in the long run been a source for valuble information feelings of God for each geneation. The values we each hold repreesents a part of new history that provokes both hope and doubtfulness for the years to challenge us. I think as children we grow up and hope to be the people we pictured ourselves as adults, or even who we were told to be. However, our views change with time, and even our God changed with time. We are are moved, even into discovery or perhaps emptiness.

  4. Teens do have a hard time adapting to their religious environment in the sense that, they cannot focus on one main topic or central belief. Television and radio are two main items responsible for this outcome. Hearing different things and topics around us on a daily basis we strive away from what is truly important. However, without these things we would be lost in a world where we know absolutely nothing. Accepting out faith is the simple part, but practicing it is the most complicated in the sense that we are so distracted by the world that it becomes difficult to practice and learn new ideas and concepts of our religion and faith.

  5. I agree with you that many teens today have a hard time living out their faith, and this is really common in our society. Because of the whole separation of church and state thing, most teens don't see God at all in the media such as television, and t.v. can be a powerful educator. Kids watch tv and listen to the radio everyday, but barely hear or see anything religious. Its no wonder why kids don't put enough importance on their faith. Religion is poorly explained to many teens, so they either don't understand it, or don't care.
